Training
Spent 6 years teaching at the college level in software development and other technology
related classes. Started teaching VB 5 and continued through VB.Net 2.0. I also
taugh Java, Database, and Business Systems Analysis.
In the course of those years, I even had the privelege to see some students go on
to productive careers. I hired one of my own students and have been impressed to
see him go on his way. It is that investment in buidling people, and watching that
growth that can be so rewarding.
Applying that, the business professional has a clear responsibility to mentor and
encourage peers and direct reports.
